Ian Crawford

Ian founded Working Theory to offer independent and creative advisory services that exceed what is conventionally possible.

Ian has a degree in Engineering (Electronics) from Curtin University and has studied widely in computer science, organisational psychology and management theory.

He has been working with information technology for over forty years and is known for finding innovative, knowledge driven solutions to business challenges.

Ian's strengths are:

  • innovative business strategy
  • risk management
  • establishing new teams and processes, and
  • management of complex projects.
Amongst other things Ian also builds very robust stone walls, is handy with chainsaw and flame-thrower and knows how to calm a distressed infant - skills more often professionally useful than you'd expect.

Perspective

Our focus is on people and purpose - i.e. There is no such thing as an 'IT project'.

The product is not the solution, and a catalogue is not a design methodology.

If we cannot explain how value is produced, we do not touch the system.
